It is with very grateful and excited hearts that we'd like to introduce ourselves to the Shelby community! We are Jeremy and Kaylinn, with our two little ones, Lewis and Lucy. We are officially owners of the Shelby Safari, and are so excited to bring it back to life. Our place will focus on active playtime for kids 10 and under, and we're open for playtime, parties, events, and classes.

We took over another indoor playground down in Billings called Monkey Around back in July and instantly fell in love with play cafes, what they do, and how they help the communities they are in. When we heard Shelby Safari needed a little TLC it didn't take much to convince us that it needed to be re-opened and given new life.

Our operating philosophy is "when the  family thrives, the community thrives", and we wholeheartedly believe that starts by giving young families a place they can be together, play together, and have community together. While we will be staying in Billings as our  main residence, we've got a fantastic team up here to keep operations going and will be making frequent trips up. We've felt so welcomed into your community and are thrilled by your hearts for family and to see the community of Shelby thrive.

It is my pleasure to feature the Shelby Safari in this week’s feature.  I first met Kaylinn & Jeremy back this summer,  they looked me up at the Farmers Market one afternoon.  They were in Shelby looking at the Safari and checking the town out.  I answered all the questions they had about Shelby best as I could, as in any business deal, usually takes time to close on a deal.  I am happy to know they stuck with it, and have completed the process of acquiring the Shelby Safari.  They are young, friendly and energetic which should be a great fit for taking this small business into the future!!   After reading Kaylinn’s write up, she hit on a great point.  When the family thrives, the community thrives!!  While there are many aspects to a thriving community, a great point where it starts is at the family level.  Schools, public parks, activities, medical services for families all fit into the equation.  Each community needs education, day care, and activities for the youth to do.  Without the basics for the young families, a community risks losing young families moving away to different locations.  The young families today are the future to each community.  The Shelby Safari is another one that helps keep young family’s active with another option to do here in Shelby.  Which helps keep those families within the community!!  Thank you Kaylinn & Jeremy for your role in this!!  They too, are the newest member of the Shelby Chamber, just signed them up, on behalf of the Chamber....Welcome to the Chamber!!  I look forward to working with you in the future!!

I will be doing a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Noon, December 1st for the Shelby Safari Grand Re-Opening.  325 Main Street.  Everyone is welcome to attend!!  Hope to see everyone there!!

They will also be open Sunday, December 3rd for the Christmas Stroll!!
