Lena is the owner of the Smile Shop. We have all kinds of craft and hobby stuff; Lena has been in business for 13 years come this March 2024. Lena opened her shop on March 3, 2011 at 215 Main St. but in April of 2022 we moved across the street to 202 Main. For the past 11 years we not only sell craft and hobby stuff, Lena also sells Prom and Wedding Dresses plus she does all the sewing and Ironing in the shop. Every year at the Christmas Stroll we have Santa letters in the shop that the kids can write a letter to Santa and then mail it to him in the shop (and the kid’s get a letter back). We have an” Elf on The Shelf” kit that is fun for the whole family. We have lots of Christmas stuff for sale also

Lena has for the past 10 years had the Angel Tree in the shop and if you know anyone that needs help this year either you come down and get the Applications or send them down to get one.

Lena has her daughter Magdalena and a girl named Sky working with her. Magdalena does all the inventory and Sky helps her with it.  Lena does all the sewing and boy does she have a lot to sew. Magdalena helped Lena off and on for the first nine years but for the past 3 years she has been full time with her. Sky just started working for Lena.

You can get a free cup of coffee or tea and if she has time to make cookies you can even get one of them oh and yes you can even get a free smile.

This little shop on main street has tons of items packed within its walls!  From clothing to crafty things to office/school supplies.  If you're on the lookout for anything there's a chance Lena has it!!  Just the other day I was visiting with Lena about various things, and the Christmas Stroll came up.  I was saying I've got a popcorn machine lined up to use….  Oh, she jumped up saying I got something for you.  Came out from the back with popcorn bags!  Wow, I had everything but the bags lined up and that solved that!  Then I thought out loud, I need a scooper to scoop the popcorn into the bags.  Lena jumped up, a few seconds later came back with a scooper!!

Point being she has a lot of various items in her store!!  For those who are planning on coming out for Shop Small Saturday shopping event (November 25), Lena plans on being open plus will be serving ham & cheese crescent rolls too.  She also plans on being open the day of the Christmas Stroll (Sunday December 3), with Santa letters being offered as well!!  Santa letters will continue through much of December too.

For those who know Lena, you are very aware she's very much community minded and pours countless volunteer hours into various organizations, groups and causes throughout the year.  I don't dare to even try to list all of them, as I know I'll end up missing some!!  I applaud you Lena for your dedication and hard work towards the community.  I've personally leaned on Lena a few times for help with the Chamber and never does she complain to me about helping.  From helping water flowers, to doing computer work such as making flyers of any sort, to helping set up meetings, to helping with various events.  She even demonstrated to me how to make cotton candy the first time I broke the cotton candy machine out at the Kite Festival back this early summer!!  Thank you Lena for all the long hours and hard work you put towards helping the community!

Remember if any of you need anything or doing your Christmas Shopping, stop in to The Smile Shop to check out the inventory Lena carries!!
