1. Business has demonstrated professional integrity, excellence in customer service, success through innovation and a commitment to the community.
2. The business, its owner(s), and/or employee(s) participate and/or support community and industry related activities.
3. The business demonstrates product or service diversification to meet changing client needs to position them for continued growth.
4. Demonstrated excellence in a particular facet of the business such as service, product, marketing, HR, etc.
5. The business has a robust planning process and keeps their team engaged in achieving the goals of the plan.
Criteria and/or Qualities:
1. A person who continually volunteers his or her time, dedication, and talents to the town and the citizens of the town to make the Shelby Area a great place to live, work, play, and learn.
2. A person who has made a positive difference to the lives of fellow citizens.
3. Someone who is dedicated to the Shelby Area and concerns for others. They may serve on service, school, church, civic, or community committees.
4. A person who has shown a willingness to work with other Shelby Area residents, who is enthusiastic about the town and its citizens, and who works continually towards the betterment of the community.
5. A person with the qualities of honesty and integrity.
