The Shelby Elks Club Bar at the end of summer has limited operating hours but we are open usually Monday and Tuesday nights as well as Friday and Saturday nights from about 5pm to 7pm for anyone interested in coming down to check out the bar and listen to some music or play pool and get an ice cold beverage. We are always looking for new members as well so feel free to ask about our organization and possibly get an application for membership. Fall hours may be expanded please watch our Facebook page for updates and any questions feel free to message our Facebook page.
The Shelby Elks Club currently has several events upcoming, the first of which is the winter coat giveaway, which will take place the 23rd & 24th of September, donations of new and gently used items are welcome at the Elks Club Bar and Salon Mosaic between now and September 20th. After that we have our Crafter's Craft supply sale on October 7th, reserve your table now!!
We will be hosting a Free Hunter's Appreciation Dinner this year on October 20th. For more information on any of our upcoming events please reach out via our Facebook Shelby Elks Lodge page. In this week's feature, I have selected the Elks Club here in Shelby. The Elks club and its members work hard in this community, and also provide a great venue for events. One of the first things I did at this job was get the Chamber Banquet planned out, which crossed my paths with the Elks Club. I worked with Taunya and Ryan with that detail, everything turned out great. They deserve a big Thank You for all they do. I literally filled that place with everyone attending!! I can’t wait till next year's banquet, I think I can grow it even more!! They had no issue providing the requests I had for the event and delivered perfectly! I realize the Elks Club and banquet hall has been around for many years and most of you know and have been there many times. But if any of you need a venue of any sort please keep the Elks Club in mind, they do a great job and offer a nice atmosphere.
