True North Counseling has been offering professional counseling services to the Shelby community since 2022. Our experienced therapists offer personalized counseling for a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, substance use, and stress management. Counseling can be a non-judgmental and supportive space for individuals to explore personal issues, enhance self-awareness, and make new meaning out of life experiences. We understand that reaching out for support can be difficult, and as a small and personable practice we offer confidential services in a comfortable location where you schedule directly with your therapist.
True North Counseling has recently expanded and is pleased to offer the services of Shelly Hunt, LCPC-C in both Shelby and Conrad. Shelly sees individuals with a variety of presenting issues. Her style is warm, authentic, and she provides effective therapeutic interventions to support clients in their personal goals. Shelly says, “It’s important to me that clients know that I practice from a space of compassion and non-judgment. I have been a resident of this community for 16 years and it is an honor to practice here.” Shelly has immediate openings and takes a variety of insurances. A doctor’s referral is not required for counseling services. I'd like to introduce the newest Shelby Chamber member, True North Counseling. I was in contact with Lida less than a month ago inquiring about the Chamber, spoke to her about what we do at the Chamber and just like that, True North became a member. While I do not have any past stories to share about True North, the thing I can share is it's always great to get community involvement from a variety of backgrounds with the businesses within the Chamber! I wish Shelly the best as she gets started with her involvement at True North. When I met with Lida it was apparent to me that True North will be community minded with the Chamber, I look forward to working with them in the future!
