Hi, My name is Tammy Head.  I have owned and operated The Griddle Restaurant in Shelby for over 19 years.  I worked for 3 different owners in the same building before buying the business in May of 2005 and changing the name to The Griddle Restaurant.  (My Sister Donita’s idea).  I have worked in the restaurant business for 48 years and still enjoy what I'm doing.

The Griddle is a family style restaurant, we have a nice sized dining area, we also have a banquet room for meetings.  We serve breakfast and lunch, our soups are always homemade.  We have great food, friendly staff, service with a smile, and a great atmosphere!!  Our hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Come see us, you wont regret it!

This small town family restaurant is a local hot spot for coffee, breakfast or lunch.  For good reason, I remember one of my first trips coming to Shelby before moving here.  The Griddle was the first place I ate in town.  I wanted breakfast before driving back to Miles City, sat down, obviously I wouldn’t have known her at the time, Tonia was our waitress.  Had a great breakfast with great friendly service.  Since then, I've been enjoying going into The Griddle ever since either having a meal or just on my work rounds chatting with whomever is working that day.  Always a pleasure going into this establishment.  The Griddle is one of the Restaurants the Chamber utilizes for its Chamber Board Meetings, Chamber Membership Meetings or committee meetings.  The meeting room downstairs works great for these kinds of occasions.  Tammy donates, sponsors, or participates in various activities/events during the year helping keep Shelby alive & active.  Keep up the good work Team Griddle!
